Nice one - I think we sounded pretty good. Good job to tape this one, too - instead of the Carol or Darla songs.

A few of us headed to Earl's after the game, and the entire Richmond team walked in. I was tempted to start the 'We've all had Darla' chant up again, but Mass had the idea to send the keeper a shot -- so we did that instead.

Actually, re-watching that video Blue&WhiteArmy posted, I have a question: is it 'and where you GO we'll follow' or 'and where you PLAY we'll follow'? There seemed a bit of confusion about which was right, and you can hear on the video that's the one bit of the song that's a bit mumbled.

Has anyone seen the books "Dicks Out" and "Dicks Out 2"?

They're UK books and they detail the songs and chants (and a lot of the history behind them) of loads of UK football teams.

Some good ideas to be had in there. Loads we can adapt and bring up to date. I just need to find time to go through them again.

I wrote the chapter on East Fife one's for the second book so obviously I'm biased as to whether the books are a good read or not, but if anyone wants to borrow them then just give me a shout.

Having (proudly) not been to a Canucks game for over 3 years, do they only have one song/chant "Go Canucks Go", and even that needs to be orchestrated by a wurlitzer or whatever those things are called.

Are hockey fans that unimaginative?

What about the classic "Who ate all the pies?"

Does Swangard sell pies?

The best chants are player specific. My favourite is (to the tune of "one man went to mow.")

"Ten men went to lift, went to lift Frank lampard. Ten men and their forklift truck, went to lift Frank lampard."

Or I made this up, somebody else could do a much better job, but i think something using this tune could be great.

"Yankee Timbers came to town, thinking we'd surrender. Whitecaps stomped 'em in the ground, now they're fucking tender.
