I know this is a Whitecaps forum but for soccer to progress anywhere in this country we need serious reform. The old guard at the CSA has decided it can pick who will represent Alberta without proving anything to anyone.

If they can do that to Alberta then they can do it to any provincial association. As long as the CSA can rig the votes they can stave off change.

For any other Whitecaps fans in Alberta ( I know there are some ) or anyone interested in this here is a link to the site documenting it:

I tried following this mess on the V's board and it just made my head hurt.

Another in a long line of CSA disgraces. Embarassing.

Agreed with both of you. The 80+ pages on the V's forum was hard to follow for new people looking for a quick version of events which is why the reformalbertasoccer.com was such a good idea. Just the facts, all in one place with an easy to follow timeline etc.

The old guard at the CSA is fighting against the proposed reforms tooth and nail and willing to twist and pervert their own processes to keep the status quo. On August 13th the court in Alberta will rule and then we will see what happens. Even though Alberta is small their vote could be crucial in the upcoming votes at the CSA on implementing the reforms

Spread the link around to any journalists, bloggers etc. It is a great start for people to get all the documents and facts about the sad state of Canadian soccer.

Try reading the reformalbertasoccer site.  I used to be involved with club level swimming in BC.  I gave it up for the same sad political reasons.
